Sugarbeet Production Guide

EC156

Each year Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming produce about 3.7 million to 4.6 million tons of sucrose, accounting for about 15 percent of U.S. sucrose production from sugarbeet. To help growers efficiently achieve top yields, this 248-page Sugarbeet Production Guide includes research-based information and recommendations for all aspects of sugarbeet production and pest management.  University researchers and specialists in the High Plains sugarbeet production area revised and expanded it in 2013 so that it now includes more than 270 photos and illustrations, tables to help growers apply information to their situations, and sample production budgets.
